Hi, I'm Claudia. I am a Balanced Body Comprehensive Certified Pilates instructor and Balanced Body Integrated Movement Specialist. I believe Pilates isn't about how you look doing it, it's about what you feel and how you feel. In other words, less "should" and more "ahh yes, I feel it and it finally feels right!" I have a decade of teaching experience between Pilates, yoga, and ballet barre, and I am continuously learning from  well-regarded mentors in these fields so I can bring you the best knowledge and support.

Pilates is close to my heart because it helped my  dog Scout recover from quadriplegia from a spinal cord disease.  He was not a candidate for surgery, and the alternative being euthanasia, I brought him home from intensive care and used Pilates exercises and principles to help him regain mobility and strength as part of his holistic healing process. This dapper dog lived well another for eight years!

I  believe that motion is lotion for the body. The work you enjoy with me will translate to feeling better and more connected to yourself. This work is all about helping you feel better in the body you have.

 

I offer a supportive, encouraging environment either at your home or conveniently through remote sessions.  Let's create a path  to help you feel better in the body you are in.

PHILOSOPHY
The Experience
I offer convenient virtual settings, so that you can enjoy the comfort of your own space, and no hassle of commuting to your sessions. These sessions offer in-depth, clear instruction, and are suitable for  all clients, including those with mobility needs or who are recovering from injury. These can be done on the reformer, Pilates chair or on a mat using simple lightweight props.

I also offer in-home sessions. Most clients find that after a few in-home sessions they are ready to transition to the virtual sessions, as the instruction  is just as intimate and personalized. 
Rates

Private: $100 per session, virtual

             $130 in-home, midtown/                   East Sacramento

             $150 in-home,

               greater Sacramento area

Each session is 50 minutes, entirely focused on helping you feel confident, safe, stronger and at ease.

FAQ's​

​

Are virtual sessions as effective as in-person sessions?​

​

Yes. I work with clients with significant physical limitations and I guide students safely through movements, with a keen eye for safety and effectiveness. Many clients appreciate that they do not have to incorporate driving and additional time to each session. â€‹

I have never done Pilates...do I need to "get strong enough" or fully recover from an injury first?​

​

Nope. Pilates meets you wherever you are! Many Pilates moves are physical therapy- adjacent, and I offer a rehabilitative program for anyone on their path to healing. Pilates is all about progressions, so, even if you haven't exercised in one million years, you will do just fine in Pilates and you'll be surprised at the progress time. â€‹

Do I need specific Pilates equipment to get results?​

No.:)  Mat Pilates is safe, effective and often mimics Pilates machine moves through through the use of simple, lightweight props. If you have equipment (including the Reformer, Pilates Chair, etc.) I will gladly guide you in-person or remotely on any of these types of equipment, safely and easily. Pilates moves can be done seated, lying down, and standing, depending on your mobility and comfort level.
